Understanding Gut Inflammation

A physician and mystic by the name of Paracelsus who lived from 1493 to 1543 said this,

 “The Bowel harbours death.”

The bowel also known as the Gut is the part of the alimentary canal below the stomach and it consists of both the small and large intestines including the rectum.

Facts about the intestines:

  • 8 metres from (mouth to anus)

  • 300-400 sq metres (larger than a tennis court)

  • More than 100 million nerve cells

  • Approximately 500 types of bacteria in populate there

  • The mucous membrane of the intestine contains 70% of all the body defence cells.

  • The most common species is the genus Bacteroides which although serves an important function of breaking down carbohydrates and producing enzymes in the gut, causes havoc when it is outside. Bacteroides are known to cause abscesses in brain, liver, lungs as well as causing infections in the bloodstream.

  • There are direct and indirect connections of the brain and the gut. (Anxiety causes butterflies in the stomach syndrome)

  • Inflammation of the gut like Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis increases the risk of Cancer.

Symptoms of Inflammation:

  • Flatulence

  • Constipation

  • Bloody Stools

  • Exhaustion

  • Nausea

  • Weight Loss

  • Anaemia

What causes inflammation of the Gut?:

  • Possible malfunctioning of the immune system that attacks the cells in the gut as it tries to fight off an invading virus or bacterium.

  • Maybe due to the intake of antibiotics, birth control pills, and NSAIDs (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories)

  • Food intolerance (About 2/3 of people have an intolerance or sensitivity to foods such as dairy, eggs, artificial colourings or food preservatives)

  • Stress (The Vagus Nerve and Neurotransmitters send signals in both direction from brain to gut and vice versa)

Bioresonance treatment is very effective for inflammation related to Gut as it works against specific food intolerance, treats pathogenic invasions as well as to build up the intestinal flora to promote good gut health.
